I don't like it but I do it all the time. Especially in the NFL. Some cities are just easier to type then the team names and vice versa. Example: Giants, Jets, Eagles, Patriots, Seattle, Texans, Arizona, Ravens, Steelers, Bills, Bengals, Browns, Colts, Titans, Denver, Chiefs, Oakland, etc.

amateur/college leagues you refer to the teams by city/state/college
