We have our share of both up here. However, it's a much smaller pool of people that bet on sports up here as there are way less pro teams to follow locally and far less emphasis on following college sports. Most bettors from up here is seeking out the games rather than getting drawn in by local action.

A lot of the sharpest posters, past and present, have been Canadian. I think it's because Canadians are a big more risk-averse. For example, it didn't take long for me to get my azz kicked at blackjack before I picked up a book on card counting. Maybe Americans are lazy? Or they truly just bet for the action? I don't know.
