Im right next to DC yi, most guys here have a southern accent pal unless your talking in the inner city. Suburbs here all a bit southern speaking not like bama or texas but definitley noticeable in the northeast.

Please excuse us over here, for we know not what we know not. I was fortunate enough to have dated a Scouser many, many years ago who educated me on the variations of British accents from within the UK, and also traveled to Aussie Land where it was easy to pick up on the differences once you heard it enough. The accents that still fool me, however, are those 'sorta English sounding' South Africans.
