They are Butler. Butler is Duke. A school full of solid white folks and sprinkled in black hoops players. Seriously, ten years from now - Butler may be Duke, does that mean you're gonna hate Butler? Probably, you white racist pricks. But I mean seriously think about it. There's nothing cocky about Duke, there's nothing dominant about the program other than the media attention. I mean 4 National Titles in 30 years, that might be better than everyone else, but it's hardly a dynasty. If I told your Brad Stevens was going to have 4 National Titles by 2040 and Butler would be a "brand name: - you would hate him too ... because you're racist. Seriously look inside yourself and wonder why you hate Duke ... then go tuck your Klan hood on its hook and burn a cross.

congrats Duke, now why I don't like them, when I was growing up my brother loved them, considering we never seamed to cheer for the same teams I naturally hated them, then when they became Duke, it became really easy to hate them because of there Coach and all the calls he demands consistently

What's even better is that people will call Duke and Coach K "racist" for having more whites than others. It's as if it's the expected norm for 13% of the population (blacks) to make-up 100% of basketball teams. One, MAYBE two white role players is tolerable, anything more than that and it becomes "what's going on here, look at all those white boys".

I heard on the radio today that Dukes basketball budget is something like 14 million a year. Butler has a budget of like 1.5 mill.

Anyway, I personally think Duke is a storied program that deserves nothing but respect. Then again I am a UT fan so I have no rivalries with ACC schools. On the other hand, I have spent alot of time in the triad of North Carolina, and the kids from Duke, it being a private university, act like their shit doesn't stink. That is the only reason I don't care for them. But they can put together a hell of a basketball team team year in year out. In the SEC, our rich snob school can't do that.

As for the budgets of the two schools. I'm sure when Duke made their first Final 4 under Coach K, their budget wasn't large. Butler's will only get bigger and bigger to keep Stevens at that school because he is going to be a hot commodity any time a big school needs a new coach. Personally, I hate Carolina mostly because of their coaching lineage. Dean was a well-documented dick. Roy Williams is about on the same level to me every since his waffle job at KU. I could have respected the man if he would have just been honest and said he was interested in Carolina and not bullshited his team the 2nd time around.

I'm not a Duke fan by any means and was rooting for Butler big time last night, and it's true Duke does do things the right way, Coach K is a great coach and will go down as one of the best ever, the reason I hate duke is Dick Vitale and his constant dickriding of Duke, even when they sucked he was riding them hard and he's annoying as hell, that and Duke does get alot of questionable calls going their way too lol

Duke is hated not because they're a predominantly white team but because they're a high society kind of team. All of their players look like they went to prep school and had rich parents. I rather root for blue-collar'ed team like Michigan St. than Duke.
