That is what makes it extra hard to win is picks lock when the first game starts, you could miss a day or pick a guy who is getting the day off.

your streak stays intact if you pick a guy who does not get any official ABs that day.

I've tried to purposely find guys unlikely to get ABs in the past, but once it backfired when the guy I picked pinch hit.

They made it even harder a few years ago when they changed the doubleheader rule.

It used to be that if you picked a guy playing a DH, as long as he got a hit that day, your streak continued. In like 2007, they changed it to he has to get a hit in each game, which is crazy and removes the incentive to take anyone playing a DH.
