    Bullpens, Bullpens, Bullpens......
Remember folks Bullpens should always be a huge part of your capping... who is available, who is worn thin, how many lefties a team can throw out there against a potent lefty hitting team...ect..

but especially for the first few weeks, bullpens are even MORE important. Starters won't be going very deep into the games. the hard part is, capping bullpens when they are so volatile from year to year.

but don't just cap that game based on the starter, who might be on a 90-100 pitch count.....

    good luck

don't need any better example than last night, the yankees are in serious trouble, so is boston if they keep using those faggots ramirez and okajima in key situations, Looks like only Papelbonn can be trusted...i saw Bard get cuffed around in Spring training, may throw hard as hell, but straight fast balls don't last that long

This is also why in my baseball Tips, i advocate OVERS early, bullpens are a total disaster until teams figure out what works for them, aside from closers, the middle guys usually suck real bad

'Overs' were indeed the play last April. After MLB 'totals' split on Opening Day, finals went 'over' in the NL for April at a 53% clip with a 56% rate in the AL for the first month. After that, everything trended 'under' in the big leagues. Season's end saw a 52.8% lean to the 'under.'

Best April park for 'over' was Coors at 8-1. Best 'under' parks for the first month were Citi Field (3-8) and Minute Maid (4-9).

White Sox were the best 'under' bet all season, but even they went 11-10 to the 'over' in April 2009.

Petco Park in San Diego had to be right up there for UNDERS.

SBR's Peter LoShak was above the curve on that trend I believe...he also predicted the correction 3-4 weeks in advance.

If you want to see example A of a bad bullpen, see the Cleveland Indians, their pitching this year, except maybe for Carmona, will be a laugh a minute
