The 2nd half of the Michigan State-Butler game was one of the worst basketball halves I've ever witnessed.


That was just bad basketball. Monday's Championship game could be the worst in a generation regardless of who wins. I bet CBS paid for Duke to win. West Virginia-Butler ratings would be about as good as watching ladies hoops.

If you didn't have money riding on it, you would have changed it mid-way thru the half. It was brutal. Close games don't make good games.

Yep. I did. And it was. I'm just saying that was one of the poorest Final Four games I have seen in the past five years or more. There are entertaining blowouts, entertaining low scoring games (KU-N.Iowa) and then there is Butler-Michigan State ... just bad. CBS tried to sell it as a thriller, but if it was a 5 or 6 point game at the end, there would have been no drama on the final possession. I hope Duke wins because I have a feeling they'll make a more entertaining game. West Virgnia-Butler seriously would be a griding 1950s title game.

Yeah, if Duke holds on and wins (which I'm expecting) I will be all over Duke the second the line comes out at my book. Duke matches up really well with Butler and should win fairly easily imo. Whatever the opening line is will surely go up before game time.

I know I'm getting WAY ahead of myself, but what do you think the line will be? Duke -5? I know Butler was favored against MSU but I think the MSU/Duke line would of been a lot closer.

Mediocre players mainly in college baskets, Butler does play this type of basketball where games looks sloppy and gritty.

Close does not always mean good, and poorly played does not always mean bad.


For example, that 6 OT game between uconn and cuse last season was a poorly played game, yet amazing to watch.

That UCONN-Syracuse game in regulation was 10 times better than Michigan State-Butler at any point.
