I'm actually on this bet with you, but I agree about the odds - I grabbed +2600 three days ago.

Portland was phenomenal with Nurkic in the lineup - especially on defense. The big fella slimmed down 30 lbs over summer so he is quicker and better conditioned. If their mix of bigs in Swanigan, Nurkic, Davis can stay healthy and someone outside of Dame/CJ/Nurk can help with scoring, this has an OK chance.

Their roster is largely unchanged from the end of last year so they are more familiar with each other compared to the other teams.

POR with Melo is arguably a better team than OKC with Melo. I'm not sure why Melo was so anti-Portland. POR with Melo would light up the scoreboard to the heights of any other team in the league. Defense would be a bit sketchy, of course.

I am adding San Antonio +140 to win the division and Antetekempo to win the MVP at +200.

Spurs +140 to win the division - Houston has a lot of injury risk with Paul's injury history and Ariza looks like he's slow down as well. Houston's bench doesn't isn't very good offensively with Tucker and Moute replacing Lou Willilams and Nene is always hurt. Spurs have figured out how to integrate Aldridge into the offense and matchup well with Houston since Leonard can cover Harden without doubling.

Antetekempo MVP +200 - He plays in the East and should easily average 30 points a game, very few of the top MVP candidates will play enough minutes or care enough about the regular season to challenge him.
