i use mine alot on weekends or when i am not at home for a period of time. its much easier for me to check the pager for updates. i know you can probably get better updates on cell phones but i hardly use my cell so the pager works best for me and there is no cost as long as my account is active with DSI. Plus they have updated line information from CRIS which is a nice feature
