    Belgian Beer Lovers Check In

    So had early day today as tomorrow is our Club Championship & stopped on the way home to get some beers. Been drinking La Trapp but guy at store suggested this beer. Called Delirium Tremons? Said prior to IPA's this was voted best Beer in the world. Anyone ever had it?

    Yes I have had it. Pretty good. But best in the world is widely considered to be Westvleteren 12. Have to go to the monastery in Belgium to get it. I have had the 8 once. Great stuff.

    Don't get me wron though, Tremens is great.

    or Chimay Blue
    ... all arguably better.

    It's pretty readily available on the east coast.

    It's a good beer. Overrated, but still good. Make sure to get the temperature perfect for maximum enjoyment

    Delirium is an amazing bar with over 3,000 beer selections, including many Belgians but also from like 20 different countries. Delirium is right downtown Brussels - really awesome place. BUT, their own Delirium branded beer is mostly shit.

    Chimay Blue is one of the best Belgian beers. Delirium isn't very good. Chimay is a Trappist brewery - one of only like 11 Trappist breweries in the world (all are in Belgium or Netherlands I think)
