I mean come on they have zero risk... I can see them not want to open action early with all the movement... but why can't they post some numbers after the lines settle down on Sunday night? It's Monday afternoon and still no lines... completely ridiculous for a exchange to take this long to get some numbers up...
how come matchbook opens lines so late?

#2As discussed many times here and other places - MB has made a conscious business decision to not post markets that will be stagnant.
MB has market makers, and these market makers guarantee certain amounts of action on both sides of a market in return for little or no commission. These market makers know that the earlier a line is, the more of a chance that they have of being killed on a market. So they say "we will make the market for you once it gets to Tuesday" or whatever.
If you want to make the market on Sunday night games, give MB a call. They will absolutely listen to you and if you work out an arrangement, the lines will be posted on Sunday night. Heck, if you said you would put up the action on Thanksgiving weekend games now they would do it.
MB sees it as a bad business decision to put up lines that do not have some kind of guaranteed liquidity, and market makers see it as bad business to guarantee liquidity on early markets.
