I guess Rhode Island backers forget that Carolina missed 8 of 16 free throws and only hit 2 of 16 three-point attempts.

In my opinion, Carolina should have won this game easily in regulation...

The Tar Heels themselves kept Rhode Island in the game.

Rough loss for URI backers...like shortstop said though, UNC should of won that game easily and let URI back into it on several occasions

UNC could have easily put the game away early when they had control but they didn't. Rhode Island had control of the game when it mattered which was at the end of regulation but they couldn't hit fit throws. Rhode Island gave the game away.

Can't do much with 4 missed free throws at the end of a game. Yeah it was a bullcrap no call but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I guarantee that if I had UNC last night, the whistle would have magically blown. Not sure what it is, but I'm on the wrong side of these game deciding calls 95% of the time.

Yes, very blatant. Theyve been making that call ALL season, if I gets tripped intentionally or unintentionally, its been called regardless. It's been a point of emphasis. Now that I got sleep and reflect, how did Rhody not get an "and-1" when Cothran scored in OT, when the UNC player grabbed him around the wrist. Something just seemed fishy, UNC seemed to get every break and every call.

Everyone is right.

RI pissed that game away at the end....

But those calls in OT was for the reason that North Carolina sells more tickets and that's who was "mandated" to be in the final....

Should have thought about that when I made the RI bet last night.

Bad break......just sucks when the refs take your money and not the team......

Well I had UNC last night and I swore the whistle was going to blow. I like YOU have been on the other end far to many times. Especially lately. Hang in you will hit one soon.

just saw the highlights. there was a foul at the end of the game for tripping they didn't call it. at any other point in the game that is a foul. you can't trip a guy and not call the foul. if a player is going in for a shot and there is some contact that is fine. you can't trip a guy going for the ball and not call a foul. refing is a hard job that call was easy.

I thought you were a genuine poster here, I guess I was wrong.

I posted in Miners 10K thread that I was on the opposite side, I was on Carolina, you chose to fly with Miners.

After Carolina won, I didn't swing my dick around, I was amused by posters making excuses why Rhode Island lost.

I like Miners and it sucks that he and his boys lost, but you know what, Miners will bounce back.
