++++ cops just give me a ticket

Buddy of mine was at a stop light the other day and the light turned green and the person in front of him didn't go so he tapped his horn. A cop sitting behind this lights my buddy up. As he pulls my buddy over he tells my buddy that was improper use of the horn and he will be getting a ticket then he ask for registration and such as he gets on his radio. Buddy undid his seatbelt to reach over in the glovebox to get information and now the cop says he is adding not wearing the seatbelt. Buddy explains he was wearing it he just this minute undid it to reach the glovebox, cop tells him nice try.

that is beyond belief , what other country would do this to its citizens?

and this seatbelt thing, it is just a ploy to extort money, why dont motorcyclist wear seatbelts?

I agree but it also depends on the cop more than anything. Some guys are out there being overly authoritive or just having a bad day or are a prick by nature. Obviously not all cops are bad or assholes.

Some cops I have talked to have said it is mainly a legal oppertunity to pull someone over they suspect of something else that haven't given them a reason to pull them over but who knows.

that is a great point about the bikes! I remember when they first came out with the seatbelt law in Vancouver area, I would used to drive my datsun 510 with the seatbelt hanging out scraping the sidewalk. Went to court 10 times to fight the law. Lost eveytime.

I'm not sure what a "sit belf" is, but I'm pretty sure I don't have one. I sure hope I don't get a ticket. On a side note, montyh is right. If you want real change(for the better), vote Libertarian.
