    Lets here your betting history
It all started for me when I was 17 and playing juniors in Columbus but the real, big time betting didn't start until I went to school in MA. I was fortunate enough to get in with the mob through the starting QB at my school, who is from JJ's fine state of NJ, and they booked my action for 4 years straight. Let me tell you this is far better than any other local or offshore book because you are guaranteed to get paid but if you're a Sammy or Brocklanders type this is not your route. I would meet the runner weekly at a nice restaurant if our women were coming or just a nice bar if it was just him and I, but either way this was the way to go because regardless who was up or down we would have a good time.

I've noticed some threads lately about loaning money to friends, let me be the first to say that regardless of how close you think the two of you are, money and betting changes everything. Not going to beat a dead drum but if I had to estimate how much my buddies owed me from college I would say its in the neighborhood of 15k and what's worse, my linemate owes about half of that total figure. If any of you guys ever played puck you know that you're a tight bunch, hell you'll tag team a broad without thinking twice about it so if this can can wrong any cash loan between friends can go wrong when gambling is involved.

To fast forward, **** around with a few other locals but it was not any even close to the security or assurance I felt with playing with the mob so decide to play online and have been playing there ever since, last 3 years or so. Its not as good but its far better than ****in with the unsure plus we have a great site like SBR that provides rating to help protect us bettors.

Let here the stories boys of how you started out and your betting history.

In addition, I would like to thank Canadian Club and Ginger Ale for this write-up.

Day I turned 18 I depositted 600 into partypoker and turned it into 4k... than proceeded to get the 4k all in with top set vs a flushdraw in a 10k pot and got burried. Been all downhill since there.

I'm a youngster so my first legit sports bet i made was with a good friend of mine in my junior year of high school. it was on the rose bowl 2006, Texas v. USC. We made an agreement, i wagered texas for $100 dollars, if they won he would pay out $200 but if they lost he kept my $100 (you can prolly see where this is going).

Anyway, I remember watching the show VY put on that night, simply magical, i still remember some of his stats from that game off the top of my head: 267 pass yds, 200 rush yds, and combined 4 tds. So the next day i ask for my winnings, and he gives me back the original $100 saying i gave him $50 and what he gave me included my winnings. Didn't go over too well with me, but I later found out he was a member of some gang called MS13 (shows how well i knew my "good" friend) so i decided that an extra benjamin wasn't worth getting murdered over (this gang became a real problem in my area).

Needless to say, he's some junkie loser chopping parts in Arizona and im going to school at UVA. I've never made another wager with a friend, cuz if $100 gets someone's panties in a bunch i can only imagine what a dime or two will do to people. In late '08, i discovered the wonderous world of online gambling and have been enjoying (for the most part) sports betting ever since

thanks for contributing Burrito and yes do not get money involved between friends, majority of the time it does not work out well and I know this from experience. I too was on Texas that game and remember watching that game with my roommate from college at the local sports bud, what a great game for Texas backers.
