Would you care to back this up statistically over one, two or five seasons in any sport?

Put simply, based on closers, if you bet every dog you would lose slightly less than if betting every favourite. Betting dogs is best done at books that tend to shade lines (e.g. SIA) but you would still lose betting blind.
