Why do the states of TEXAS, IOWA, ILLINOIS & OHIO produce the greatest sportsbettors?
Why do the states of TEXAS, IOWA, ILLINOIS & OHIO produce the greatest sportsbettors?
Is it the educational system?
Is it the involvement in the great sports organizations at a young age for school aged children?
What is it?

I do know our values are better than the people on the West Coast. I am proud to be from Illinois and was raised correctly. No way in hell would I ever live anywhere else than California though. We do have values and morals.

I think NY and NJ has probably the most losing sportsbettors per capita, more so because they need the action on a much more consistant basis and this is hard to overcome in the longrun.

Good discipline may be a good by product of having good morals...........something to think about.
Discipline is a must to be successful in this business.

North Dakata, Pennsylvania, and Indiana are three more states that have a higher rate of successful sportsbettors then other states.
Same place as halftime wagers are tied to futures ?

Having grown up in Iowa and spending tons of time in the state, Iowa certainly does have lots of sharps.
This is even more evident in Vegas with the various wiseguys one will meet there that were originally from Iowa, amazing considering the small population there.
Count me in this elite group.

Illinois is always high in the rankings..........mainly because of the influence in Chicago and Peoria(strong syndicate there).

Wow
This has to be the most uneducated and biased question I have heard in my life.
Is there any solid evidence to support this theory? Is this one of those genius surveys like 4 out of 5 people surveyed who live in Iowa feel that their state produces the greatest sports bettors?
I would have to assume that if somebody actually did do a survey to come to this conclusion, that the survey was extremely flawed and biased. This is like doing a study on cock sizes with no visual confirmation, everybody is a sharp sports bettor just like every man when asked will tell you he has a footlong wang. How does somebody research successful handicappers and if they are truly succesful? How does somebody research handicappers success by region?
