My grandparents live on the north shore of long island. Not a lot of stripers to be had but surf catching blues is a great time, those fvckers put up a good fight and have some nasty teeth. Not terrible eating too.

Great eating! The 2/3/4 pounders are the best to eat. Nasty teeth!

Yeah, they are quite fishy, more even than tuna. I like it, some don't. Haven't been in a year or two... maybe this summer.

never done much surf fishing but love off shore fishing.
only options around here are freshwater fishing.
crappie, bream, and bass mostly
