Need Advice - Should I put a down payment on 2011 NCAA ticket lottery
Is it worth taking a chance to get in the lottery for 2011 NCAA semifinals and finals tickets? (4/4 in Houston)

If you did get tickets, what's the chance of decent resale value ?

I suspect it depends who the teams are to a point but,

I'd like to get 4 and sell 2.

They are taking applications, money up front, no guarantee of tickets or seat selection. Lottery to be held in July, notified in August.
    (See - ncaa.com)

I am suspicious, they haven't closed the window on ticket applications yet (they will when they get 20,000 apps.

Deal or No Deal ???? Opinions please

    Thanks

I put one in for the first and second round games at the Bradley Center for this years games and actually "won" the lottery. My four seats were nosebleeds and face value was $250 plus the ticketmaster fees. Granted, that's for two days of basketball.... but I was about 10 rows from the top of the stadium in the upper deck. Kind of a ripoff...

The other thing that sucks is that there are games going on at the same time that you won't be able to watch. I kind of enjoy being able to watch whatever game is the most interesting.

I hope this helps. Good luck man.

        Thanks

Thanks, I looked at the seating charts. All nosebleed seats, 3 prices 160, 180 and 200. All upper levels, I guess if you got center court and the better of the nosebleeds you could get lucky.

Do prices go up or down as you get closer to see who is actually in it???
        I see StubHub has nosebleeds for 300 - 400.
        Thanks again

amazingly I won the ticket lottery last year and didn't wait until Mich St was in it to sell. I knew what the seats would be like in ford field and sold them early. Probably could have waited and doubled up. But just didn't believe in waiting to sell bad seats to an event I knew I didn't want to view from outer space.

They keep about 5 dollars processing fee per ticket if you don't win.
