Yep, in the Summer...which was more like our Winter, beautiful but stark countryside. Over half of the island is covered in Glaciers, no trees except for those planted by natives (which, as mentioned, are not that friendly). They have been in the news since all their banks went bust in this latest financial meltdown.

It was either Bourdain or Zimmern that were there for one of their shows on The Travel Channel.

It looked like a nice place to visit based on what they featured if you're not into the whole "beach vacation scenario"

Shorty, I was there to check out the landscape...they've even got volcanoes & Geysers...almost like a frozen Yellowstone. Several years back they had a bunch of folks die in lahars.

The women there love to drink, will drink u under the table, and are extremely available. Icelandic men are very laid back and don't like to chase so the women do the chasing there for whatever reason. Works for me.

I'll have to dispute this, but then I was with the American military (NATO) at the time, and the Icies hated "us" for the most part.

As I said, Cali much better and the women have tans and a lot less clothing.
