    I have a Gambling Problem
Yes, I have denied it for years but this is a problem. Big problem. I gamble 365 days a year and I am only 20. I can always say no and not lose control but I fear that is the next step in this addiction. I finally realized it today. Let's flash back to midnight (Sat night). I arrive to play cards in a sick action $1/$2 game. I buy in for $300 and eventually have $1,100 in front of me. Throughout the game I am taking side action on props. I bet with four other guys for $5 a pop on which card hits the flop. I take a 9. Everytime the 9 comes I get paid $5 from the 3 others. If one of their cards hit I pay them. If the 9 comes in the middle you get an additional $5. If my 9 is a club I get an additional $5. During this I am also taking $10 per hand on whether more red or black cards will come on the flop. If it is all red or all black that is an additional $20.

I also take side action $20 on o/u what time it was, $10 on o/u the age of the guy next to me, then it gets sick when I book the room on over 160 pounds for the delivery guy who we ordered food from. 7 people took over and 1 took under with me. The guy showed up at the door and had to be 120 soaking wet. They conceded defeat and didn't force him to weigh. I cash out $850 at 5:00 AM. I go to the diner with a few guys, come home at 7:00 and place some bets for the morning soccer. Sleep through those and set the alarm for 12:00 so I can be up for the Cuse game. Bet all day CBB, NHL, and NBA. Bet the UFC fight etc. I go to play cards again in an $80 tournament they were holding. I bust on the bubble and lose 2 other buyins for staking my brother and my friend.

I drive them home and go back and play the cash game. As I wait for a seat me and the guy running the game play $50 games of UNO. Finally I get a seat and I buy in for $300 again and bust relativley quickly. I go to have a cig and come back in to see some dice being rolled. I immediatley want in as does another big bettor. We shoot dice and start with $50 a roll. I go up a bit and all of a sudden there is a circle and everyone is taking action. $40 on the 4 or bettor, $100 to $20 on the six, shit is getting exciting and the poker game is even breaking to take action. Eventually I am down to my last $300 I brought and decide this guy has beat me 4 rolls in a row so I take a $300 roll with him. He rolls 4, I roll 3. The ride home I am not really upset or crushed that I lost but just thinking about other things I can do. I blew off my girlfriend two nights in a row too gamble and while she doesn't get crazy about it I know it upsets her.

Overall, I won't stop gambling but I need to pump the breaks. Sorry for posting this here but I had to vent and hopefully you guys can help me with some tricks that keep you guys from losing your heads.

On a side note, JJ this was at that firehouse in Belville I told you about. If you want to make a gambling video of sick ****s that is the place to do it.

you just need to find more productive things to do with your life & time. Maybe get a girlfriend. Preferably one that doesn't play cards, shoot dice, & gamble on sports

get a $200 treadmill at walmart and run on it while you watch the games. then do some pushups and situps after that...........ive been doing this and eating well for a month and ive lost 5 lbs. its so ez to run on a treadmill while watching a game you bet on. time goes by so fast..........if i do that at like 8 pm then eat and take a shower i can usually watch tv at that point and im not up gambling real late on games. the exercise really mellows you out and takes away the need for action

I have a gf and the extent of her gambling is rooting for my teams to win. It's not like it's all I do all day. I don't sit home and watch games I have money on. If I am not playing cards I am either out with her or my boys.

I don't need action. I just like it and see no reason to not take it most of the time. I went through losing 30 pounds in a month all the way up until high school for football. If I felt the need to lose weight all I would do is eat sushi everyday and go to the gym. I do this everytime I feel like I am bloated or gaining weight and I can lose like 20 pounds in a month by playing basketball and eating sushi. That is not the problem.

              My normal day:

Wake up, look at games, place bets, go to class, come home, gf is usually either here or on the way, hang out with her, go get lunch with her, read/study/write for class, either go to night class or go to my friends house, find something to do, go out with the boys/out to dinner with girl/or go play cards. All with SBR mixed in in between.

It's not like I sit home and gamble 24/7. This little 24 hour spree was the effects of being on Spring Break and being burnt out from being shitfaced everynight from Friday night-Friday night.

Phony dice? Please man. They have it all set up. They use house dice and how the **** can I get robbed if I am rolling the same dice as him?

I used to have a bubble gum bookie in high school and he would take action on Family Fued or Deal or No Deal everyday.

Also, when I go to Seaside for MDW usually we are sitting on the porch until 4 am drinking and throwing $20 in and picking colors for the next car that passes. It keeps building until someone hits and you would be surprised how hard it is to pick the color of the car.

if you can sit and study you dont have a gambling problem. most ppl with true gambling problems would find studying very understimulating and could only do it right before tests when the pressure is causing an adrenal release. if you study almost everyday you are a normal person and not an addict.......sounds like a fun life to me i wish i was you

I am very tempted to leave my house right now and go shoot more or play cards until class at 10 but the driving is getting to me. I might leave. All this talk about gambling has me wide awake.

I say he will be out of the game in a few years and move on in life without gambling mainly because he will go bust and just get sick of being broke all the time. He is young so he can do all this and has no responsibilities. If he was living on his own, working, family, etc I can assure you there would be no gambling. He is having fun now and good for him. Rarely a guy can gamble daily his whole life unless he is a recreational player only.

Exactly. I pay no bills. I have nothing to do in life other then go to school. When I do then I will adjust accordingly. I haven't gone bust in 2 years (knock on wood) and now I am gambling within my bankroll so hopefully I can keep grinding it out.

I don't bet for that much, but as a 19 year old in college I go through similar stuff, but not nearly as high stakes.

Example, play poker with some guys, for $100-$200 playing 1-2 no limit. After that, we end up playing 2 on 2 ping pong for $10 a person, or we play pool for $5 a ball.

Finally, when the dice come out, we don't play craps, but C-Low and get as much as $20 a hand, starting off at $5 a hand.

It's great moving from one game to the next and the whole time having games on in the background and stuff.

On a bad night, you lose $400 max, and on a good night, you win maybe $500 or so. Usually I end up winning b/c I'm the best poker player there, best pool player there, and best ping pong player there, dice is another story, so if I lose, it's usually there.

But fun times. I wouldn't give it up for anything

Personally, I'd stay away from Poker and Dice (as well as UNO and betting "weights").
