I'm not a big fan of tax and spend. Bush wasn't much better (albeit somewhat better) with just spend. It's amazing how quickly one can run up against the upper income levels and become upper-middle class or upper class and thus be subject to some of these new taxes.

I'm particularly concerned about the new 3.8% levied on unearned income (cap gains, etc.) for couples making 250k/year. We are not there yet but it's not to hard to make 125k/ea. in NYC where everything costs more so we get paid more.

Oh well, life goes on.
