Would somebody please explain to an old brain that
doesn't work very well any longer what is the huge
difference between an if win and a parlay.

Means if you lay 110 to win 100 on team A then you have 110 to win a 100 on team B if team A wins . If they lose no action.
Some sites you can do 2 teams others a whole string. All bets are 1 unit bets though.

Pokernutt thank you. I was unclear.
What I mean is what is the difference if you lay 110 on a parlay, or lay 110 on an if win and then lay the 210 on your second team if you win. What is the difference in these
two plays?

You can only place the same amount on an If bet.

Guys, I may be wrong. But, I don't think that is correct.
I believe you can lay 110 on team one and then lay 210 on
team two if team one wins. Returning the exact amount
of a 110 parlay. Am I wrong?

I've made "if" bets at TheGreek that were for different unit amounts - no problem.

I have seen 3 different ways books do it.
Bodog is 2 teams only same bet both ways.
another book you could do like 7 or 10 teams in a row at same bet.
Now that I think about it I believe one other site allowed that.
Like I said I seen it at 3 different books, all have different rules.

Yes, I think you can do it. My original question was forumlated because I am confused why some people piss and moan when their book won't let them play a same team parlay. What is the difference if they just play an if bet instead? Now, I must be missing something because it can't be that easy. What am I missing?

Don't people complain that they can't play an o/u with the side in the same parlay?

Yes, I was mistaken. I thought they meant they couldn't
do a full game same team parlay with side and total. That
I couldn't understand. I never played at a book that didn't allow that. That was the confusion.
