This isn't about television ratings or competing against the ncaa. Sunday afternoon games are the biggest Attendance and especially Concession day in terms of sales. Owners would not be happy if their big family day $$$ got moved to later in the night when parent's with kids buying the 8 hot dogs, 4 pretzels, 8 drinks ect... won't come because its a "school night" despite the tourney being on, NBA fans will still pack the seats today
