CBS is trying to sell it as one of the biggest upsets ever it seems like. While it is certainly THE upset of this tournament, I don't see it as anything close to even a Top 25-30 upset in the history of the tournament. This was an experienced Northern Iowa team that most people pegged for a Sweet 16 shot this year BEFORE draws came out. Most dodged out when they fit into playing Kansas, but c'mon ... this is an upset, but hardly anything that is "mind blowing" ... stupid CBS.

Exactly. In all honesty, if you look at the match-ups for all the #1s in Round 2. None of them losing would be a huge upset. Gonzaga matches up against Syracuse. Wake has some experience on Kentucky. Cal is a dangerous offensive team for Duke to face. This isn't like the UConn women losing in the 2nd round ... THAT would be a catastrophic upset.Comment -

One other thought besides CBS being gay, can you remember the last year when the #1s were short favorites like this? Seems like most years at least two of the four #1s would be favored by double digits. This year, not so much. Shows how much of a crapshoot it is.Comment -
