Refs and Umps affect over/unders without suspicion
Its like taking candy from a baby. If you are a ref in a basketball game and want the under, you bet hundreds of thousands on the under and you and your partner "let the players play". If you want the over you and your partners "call the game tightly" and call "nickle dime fouls". Its really that simple. You will lose 1 every now and then but for the most part how the refs call the game has everything to do with whether or not a game goes over or under. Nobody cares as long as the game is called equally on both sides.

Good example is the Murray St game that is on now. Refs letting them play.

If they really want to be slick, they can just do it for the 1st half and switch in the 2nd half. So they would only bet on 1st half.

I think I'd always just take the under if I was a ref and let a lot of stuff go and let the players get worn down without any stops during the game. Would be pretty easy.

I have lost quite a few unders this tournament. Texas/Wake and MD/Houston come to mind. But those were lost due to OT and lack of defense.
