Living here in football recruiting country, I am routinely seeing high school players with posted sub 4.5 40's times. I don't doubt the times of the high school players, but I doubt very seriously if any high schooler could stay within 5 yards of Chris Johnson, AP, or Andre Johnson. Confirm or deny what you know about these times.
Are HS and NFL 4.4 40's the same?

#3High school times are usually hand timed with the best time recorded. They are not strict times and are usually fibbed some to gain attention of scouts, etc. Sometimes, times reflect those posted at camps or high school combines which are more accurate. However, most of the time it's the high school coach that does it with bias.Comment -

#4Take those times with a grain of salt. If a kid ran a 4.87 5 times and a 4.62 the other. The coach will most likely record the 4.62.Comment -

#6Usually high school times are recorded by some assistant coach trying to be the "cool" guy withe the star players and gives them the benefit of the doubt. Not to mention surface matters a lot and how they time the person. First Movement, On "Go", etc.Comment -
