John, I've heard you talk about gold a lot. i myself have posted a couple of threads about the topic and most were about what a funk my game has been in. I am making the turn and am on a little bit of a good transition. I am still a 12 but at least am playing to that handicap and not over it right now. By Vegas time I should be a solid 10 or less.
I would like to throw down a challenge since you are 2 time defending champion ( I think that's what I read). I always like taking on the big boys when on the links as playing those of equal or aorse handicaps offers little of a challenge. I think I recall you are a 6 handicap. If that is correct I think we could make a decent game of it if I cut my expected 10 handicap in half and play as an 8 for a 1 shot per side match play contest. Now the way we play here is if you are giving someone say a shot per side and you win or lose on a 2 hole swing it adjust the bet 1 shot on the back.
So what should the stakes be? I'm a broke ass city employee and you are a millionaire so money hardly seems like a motivation for you since I couldn't make it interesting enough. I'm thinking it would have to be something pride based but I am open to whatever.
