    Big East Tourney sucks the life out of at least one finalist every year.
    Either the winner or loser will not make it out of the first weekend of march madness guaranteed. Just too brutal. Best to lose early or not show up at all.

      Yeah i'm still not sure I buy into this theory totally. I think it is part of many reasons that high seeded big east teams struggle in the post season tourneys. Style of play- alot of big east teams are kinda built the same way and play the same type of styles. and they are not styles best suited to one and done tourney play. Refs- I think that playing games against teams with different looks, AND with non-big east refs can hurt them too. Refs in the Big East let them play very rough and get away with alot down low. and even if the refs aren't calling it differently I think that the B.E teams and coaches EXPECT them to... so they play a bit more tentative.


      They are the top dogs, this is every small school/mid major player's dream to get ONE SHOT at beating a storied program like Georgetown, Cuse, Uconn ect on a national stage.... to go man to man against guys you see on sportscenter and the cover of sports magazines can bring the BEST out of opponents.
