on the flip side, theres a bunch of people out there who feel the same about the yankees. and with that said, i'm not a fan of either team, i'm a NL fan.

i'm not a yankees fan, but there is a major difference between the two. there are actually a lot of red sox fans in NY, and no one bothers them. you can't say the same for boston.

they are the most bitter fans in the world.

Yankee stadium used to be an animal house. They have so much security and rules now.....you can't even spit on the concrete without getting tossed.

I went to tight a$$ Fenway about a month ago.....very rude and loud fans. It was almost tough to watch the game because of the a$$holes screaming and crying over every play.

That being said remmy......Boston is a much cleaner and nicer city to visit. The Bronx is like an armpit, everyone evacuates about 45 minutes after the end of Yanks game. If you stay any longer you run the risk of being mugged.

I was impressed with the class and cleanliness of Boston. The fans on the other hand think they are kings of the world or something. The must not have a good recollection of the history books.

Yeah, no kidding. Paint everybody with the same brush because some drunken louts who are wearing RedSox paraphanelia.....Along the same theme though, although I've been a 'Sox fan since 1975, I've yet to meet any New Yorker or New York fan that I would classify as "ignorant, obnoxious", whatever (Personally).

I went to New York for a week last year, and it was a blast. I found their fans, the so-called "arch enemy", to be very passionate and knowledgeable, and I had some great conversations with them regarding the whole RedSox-Yankees history, without a doubt the best baseball-related conversations I've ever had.

Just depends I guess.....If you're an asshole generally, then you'll be an asshole fan, regardless of what team or sport you cheer for. But to generalize everybody because of somebody, or a group's actions, well....Basically, that's just STUPID.

hey in case you didn't get the memo ... boston fans suck. this is known throughout baseball. to say that "assholes are assholes" is 100% wrong. it's addictive. just like st louis cards' fans are the nicest in baseball and respect the game, once you get into a stadium or like a team you can act different. just like in philly..they are crazy fans.

to say all sports fans act alike is totally idiotic

in case you didn't follow baseball, FYI, cards' fans often give standing ovations to the visiting team. they never boo, and are considered the nicest fans in baseball

to be honest, i hate boston as well as their fans. i was offered an amazing job there and refused to take it because i couldn't take the boston people. they're the worst.

Fenway Park has been completely sold out for several hundred consecutive games, despite having (by a large margin) the highest ticket prices in the game. What a terrible fan-base.

That's not to say that some Boston fans aren't obnoxious and arrogant, as you mentioned, but to generalize all Boston fans as such is asinine and completely ignorant.

of course every fan isn't the same. but you can say maybe 7/10 red sox fans are assholes, and maybe only 2/10 cards' fans are assholes.

you can walk in NYC with boston gear and no one will do anything. try doing it in boston.
