Tutorial on how to get rivered for 2200 pot
deposited 600 ran it to 1300 in about 2 hours and was playing $5/$10 NL

    Dealt: 22
Preflop: Call 10, guy raises to 40 i call. (Pot 9)
    Flop: 782

I bet 25 he raises to 90, i raise to 220. He calls.

    Turn: 782K 2 diamonds

I bet 225 in a 532 pot. He flat calls

    River 782K6.

I pushed all in. Had him on AK or a diamond draw and it didnt come.

Did i play this wrong at all? Im very seasoned just another bad beat to me but would any of you played it differently on the turn. Looking back if i bet like 400-550 on the Turn he'd probably fold but im also trying to extract value. I thought he hit his K on the turn.

when He flat called on the turn so fast I might have feared set of kings but no you didn't do anything wrong
you can't fold a set on a flop like that

you played the hand absolutely awful,
your opponent made the right call on the turn with 8 outs

I haven't played the game long, can you explain the math to me on how that was a good call? Thanks.

          You played fine.

You have to play for value there you are not trying to push him out.

On the turn he had9 diamonds+8 cards to make the straight draw, multiply that times 2 (not exact but close) one card to come gave him a roughly a 34% shot. More like 32%.

Your bet was nice but he wasn't going anywhere.

Just one of those hands, nice play with a set unfortunate this fish wasn't going away imo GL.

he had 8 outs and only had to call 225 to win a 760 $ pot,
the way the thread starter played the hand it was very likely that he is holding a strong hand, so he also had some implied odds, because it is more than possible that he will gain an extra bet on the river if his draw hits.

if you lead out on the turn you have to do it for at least 1/2 - 3/4 of the pot size to give your opponent a -ev play if he calls with his draw.

outside of him having kings and you trying not to raise him out his flat call[looks like hes chasing]it was a good play been caught many times like that only way you save yourself is a check on rvr and see what he does but very hard to do with trips..and i dont listen to my own advice.even though i should know better

Wasn't it fifteen outs? Open-end straight draw plus the flush draw?

Played the hand slow and it cost you.

You gave him 3-1 with plenty of outs.

Bet way too little on the turn kid.

usually a flat call on the turn means hes chasing..bigger bet on flop might have chased him out...no way i figure hes got a big hand ..if he has a big hand he bets its it.. and then if you call or raise its on you not on you the way it went down

was wondering myself. Figured this would have been a replay of the hand history.

Do you watch film on your opponents or something?
