gone through many highs and lows over the past few years, but a nice fat 0-7 for the day with some big bets losing has really knocked the wind out of me. how do you guys recover from stuff like this?

I feel ya, I had a rough day also, not has bad as 0-7 though. Last thing you want to do is chase, you just gotta hand in there and think long term.

what were your bets? let's dissect them. i can tell you right away whether the sides you bet in the ncaa tourney were right or wrong, and whether you bet the correct number, let's see what you did right, and wrong today

the only way you could have gone 0-7 today is by taking huge public plays

im guessing
kentucky
kansas
villanova
vanderbilt
new mexico
texas
anyone on sdsu or tenn shouldve won, it's all abt getting the best number possible, i got tenn at -2.5 and sdsu backers shouldve had +3.5
anyone that lost on either of these teams made a HUGE mistake in timing the market

they were public plays (new mexico, tennessee, marquette), which is normally not my style and i knew i was overthinking everything. i definitely am very disciplined when it comes to chasing and will not be a part of that, but it is hard to fall asleep tonight after a rough day. Hopefully maryland and utah state will help me bounce back tomorrow and thats probably all i will have. have to wait until the morning to check out nba but damn its hard to fall asleep tonight

Everyone has brutal days. If you're going to gamble you have to expect that one of these days will eventually happen. It's how you handle it and bounce back is what makes successful gamblers.

I agree, I can't tell you how many games I have and lost by a half a point. Shopping for the best number is crucial.

I pushed because I jumped on it when it moved to 3, never thought it would get up to 3.5

Terrible day for most here, I'm fairly certain if you bet the college games only. The favorites has been covering easily the last two years in the 1st round, I mean vegas got slaughtered. So I doubt anyone here is going bet against that! Today, the dog's went 10-5-1, so basically everyone got killed. If not, they're lying their @sses off.
My plays were
Vandy-Loss
Butler win
UNLV-loss, wished they got that steal or it went to OT.
Tennessee-BS 3 point foul call, lucky Chism pushed that game
Won a small bet, thanks to a lucky backdoor cover from New Orleans, so I can feel a little bit better after two horrifying endings. Now I'm drinking it off and getting ready for tomorrow.

Take some time off to Analise your mistakes but do not bet on your own decisions until you get your confidence level back to par or you will just continue to lose guaranteed trust me we all have been there, whats hard about this is you have to convince yourself that this is true

the guy had a horrible day and some of you guys in here are being complete assholes about it.
you've all had bad days, how would you have felt if someone told you to go kill yourself after you just got buried?
my advice to the op is to just re-analyze your strategies and get back on that horse
stay positive minded and dont let one bad day get you down, we've all been there
if you went busto, then let this be a lesson in money management if you decide to bet again in the future
