That's the best one I can remember, but there's obviously much better World Series that happened before our time...

97, expansion marlins beat the power mongering lineup of cleveland in extras in 7. I coulda went homerlike and went with the phils in 80 and 08. Was 5 when the first one went down but remember watching it vaguely with the family.

1991 Twins over Braves- nothing else to debate

            5 -1 run games

4 games decided in the last at bat

3 games went into extras as well and who can forget the homer by Puckett in game 6

              1986!

The Mets comeback in game 6 and 7. Game 6 with the Buckner incident!

I will go with the 2001 series to be truthful. Wasn't the outcome I wanted but Shilling and the Big Unit against the Yankees right down to the bottom of the 9th. I remember that one the most.

EASILY the 1997 World Series, Tribe vs the Fish. that was ELECTRIC..Craig Counsell and my boy EDGAR RENTERIA coming through against what was mr. automatic jose mesa...

that series was AMAZING...the 2003 was good too when the little fishies beat the big bad yankees thanks to josh beckett pitching rediculous all post season.

But if i had to pick maybe the GREATEST GAME EVER, I'd choose Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS, it had EVERYTHING

that 2003 year too easily had the best NLCS ever with the fish coming back down 3-1 vs the cubs who had the 2 most dominant pitchers at the time slated for games 6/7, with prior and wood...plus we had the infamous bartmen play, which everyone blames the cubs collapse in that game 6 on, YET they all forget that on the next at bat miguel cabrera hit a grounder that was a TAYLOR MADE double play and woulda ended the inning with the cubs STILL up 3-2 but it went through the legs of the alex gonzalez (who had the highest fielding percentage at SS that season lol) and led to us tying it 3-3. then in the 8th, with the bags packed and the one and only kyle farnsworth on the mound groves MIKE MOREDECAI a heater and he comes through, after an AWFUL season of nothingness and some crucial strike outs in the earlier games in the series, with a MONSTER bases clearing double to left....i ****in almost jumped through the ceiling when that happened and that led to the flood gates opening and us dropping the 8 spot and forcing the GAME 7.

1960 was a very horrible one from what i've heard but had the best ending IMO

                        Agreed.

Remember that game well. Dan Gladden with the hustle, turned a blooper into a double. Series over.

AHHH the fartman game. A classic. The 86 one was my second choice.
