Here is my problem?
Last year I made a deposit to sportsbook.com one for 200,300,and 400. I was double billed for them as the charges showed up twice on my bank statement totaling 1800. I disputed the double billing with my bank and they credited me back the 900, which they obtained from sportsbook.
Now last month I tried to make a withdrawl and they claim I have a cashback for 900 and have disabled my account. My bank has given me proof that the money left my account twice but sportsbook claims they only recieved it once and will not release by balance until I send them 900! I am almost 100% positive that they did recieve the money twice and pulling this crap by saying it never was recieved. Any one with a similiar experience or useful advice would be great and rewarded.

Next time dispute it with the sportsbook first. Chargebacks are a last resort and is a favorite tactic of scammers.

Get your proof first. Bank statements etc. try to work it out with the book nicely and if that does not work try Bill Dozer. Keep in mind you'll have to prove that you did not deposit identical funds to the book. Ask the book to send you a log of your deposits withdrawals credits and plays from the time period in question. Then get bank records from that time showing where the duplicate withdrawals were made. If you can get this info you will have a case if you cant your kinda screwed. I'm surprised that when you reloaded they didnt ask you about your balance. I dont think you were scamming otherwise you wouldnt have sent money to a book your indebted to.

bkrebs13, why didn't you got to sportsbook.com first with your dispute? I've had this happen to me in the past, and my first reaction is always to go to the source of the billing error. Maybe it's just me. Running to the bank to do a ********** seems like a last resort option.

This is a common problem for new players with Sportingbet and books that use their processor.

Usually the story goes that a player is being audited or is double billed. SBT's terrible CS leads the player to believe that the issue won't be resolved so he does a **********.

The player then moves on to a different book, or at least thinks he does. If his next book is affiliated, they will freeze the balance citing the **********. The choice is either to ** in the "owed" amount or cut your losses.

Back when Sportsbook.com and friends owned the first couple pages of the Google and Yahoo search results, it was an even bigger problem. Gamblers just thought that World Gaming was what sportsbook software looked like.

I remember a player who did a ********** against Aztec Gaming and then later played at Linesmaker. The two books are only service by the same place and have different owners. The ********** was for $80 at Aztec and Linesmaker kept $1900 in winnings after the player put his funds at risk. He never had the chance to win. He even WUed the cash in as instructed but was stiffed.

Your situation may be fixable. You will need to put together a timeline of dates and transactions. We can then send the explanation to management. They would have to go back and rectify the books for the first issue. In time your funds may be released.

You may want to invest in a fax machine. =/

guys i'm 60yrs old born and raised in bronx and brooklyn until i was56.i have seen or heard about every scam,pyramid and to good to be true story.if you do't have a sportsbook on the recomanded list of a- or better don't sign up or try to get out of what you are in now.i called top 10 on sbr list to feel each one out.i asked at least 10 things and wanted to see how i was dealt with before going with bogog and bet365.no problems in over 5 yrs.

Get all appropriate paper work together to establish your case against sportsbook.com from your bank. Submit the paper work to sportsbook.com so they know you mean business, if all the paperwork is in order and it is an open and shut case they will begrudingly pay you, then withdrawal your funds fron sportsbook.com and play with a book that is not constantly trying to rip players off.

spanky, excellent advice...I have learned through the years as well to do homework and play with only the top books...these stories seriously make me sick...any update on a sportsbook.com downgrade?...

Spanky, I have used both of those books and NEVER had a problem with either one. Both are A+ in my book.

The only problem I encountered with Bet365 is they quit taking US customers, so I had to move to another book.
