The NCAA bracket pool I am in will have a prize @ $4000. It cost $20 per bracket.

How many brackets should I submit? I look at this as close to a lottery ticket. It seems that someone that never even watches basketball wins it.

If you're up against normal people and using a good strategy, your EV is about 200% gain if it's 100% payout.

Glad you saw this Justin. We normally get 200-250 entrants. Not that many people, but I am not the only one that plays multiple cards.

Last year I only spent $60 on three cards. It is 100% payout.

Anyone looking for something similar, should check out the restaurants and bars they frequent. They all have a pool going. This one is 3 restaurants together.

As long as your bracket has Kansas and Kentucky in the final and you have Kansas winning just work your way backwards with a couple of key upsets along the way and one will suffice.

I am thinking 20 entries would give me a good chance at winning. $400 to win $4000 sounds like a really good bet.
