Not really

Many printers are durable long term, many printers print quickly (its worth the time anyway for the purpose the papers being printed are for), and you can buy cheap cheap ink from ebay. Yes it is a lot though if purchased in stores... but a "professional gambler" should be able to handle the cost anyway.

Don't get me wrong... I use the internet for my handicapping!

Who remembers having notebooks filled with past results and updating statistics... So the internet saves me at least 2 hours a night not having to write down results!

i use pen to write on the backs of printed stuff that i am going to recycle. i am all about saving the environment.

For instance, I'll print the lines. Then I'll use that sheet to write my projections & other peoples so I have 1-2 sheets of paper with all that info for quick reference.

I print Marc Lawrences playbook every week during football season & keep it filed for reference. I had to clean my hard drive & lost everything so havin shit on paper is the best way.

I print alot of stuff to read through the day while Im not gonna have my computer

I have yet to find a printer that isn't a total POS and doesn't die within 6 months. So far the best I found was an el cheapo b/w laser printer.

When you see me in class, pen to paper, 3 different highlighter colors, scribbling furiously--I'm not writing an essay.
The university gives an allotment of free printing per quarter so I take advantage.
