Is LeBron James The Biggest Bust Ever?????????

    SI Cover at 16
    Labeled The King
Takes his talent to South Beach colluding to win
2-4 in Finals (soon to be 2-5)

What a joke. Guy has no heart, no balls. Kyrie is a better player.

Kyrie is terrible and a ball hog to boot. Cavs should have traded him for CP3, only chance they had to win championship.

Took 6 teams to the Finals 6 years in a row; something even Jordan didn't do.

He did quit on the Cavs the last season before he left for Miami. That said, he is one of the best ever.

i believe his path to the finals were a bit easier than Jordans. Lets just say he has had the easiest path to the finals than any player in the history of the sport. When Jordan was in the finals the guy guarding him never won the MVP of the finals once let alone twice

    No.

99.9% of all athletes would kill for the career he has had so far. Considering the hype he entered league with, he has done very well. Basketball is a team sport. 1 guy can only do so much.

The MVP comment is a bit ridiculous; I will let you put 2 and 2 together as to why.
I went back and watched some of the playoff games Jordan played in, it had just the same difficulty as the other seasons. The only years the NBA was weak was before 1980 and between 2005-2010.

Lebron is a great player no doubt. The reason he won in Miami was riley ran the show and he didn't listen to james. James came to the cavs and this year he assembled his own team and he is about to get clowned again. The warriors would beat the cavs without curry. Do NOT be surprised if the heat win a title before the cavs.

Of the Finals he lost besides the Dallas Finals where Dirk and the Mavs ran like God I don't think he's ever been on the better team

Losing in the Finals isn't something to brag about but I wouldn't knock someone for it

That stat don't mean nothing when you are 2-4 in those 6 finals. That's disrespect to Jordan to put them in a same sentence.

Not sure if 'bust' is the correct word. He's a dynamic player but let's face it, he's far from an all time great. The refs give him half of his points. He can't even make a free throw......something like 70%, even less in playoff games. Pathetic.

If Lebron played in the west he wouldn't have 6 straight finals appearances.

He's been 3-0 in East series 6 years in a row, meaning he's been 18-0 against the cupcake East the last 6 playoffs.
But his LOSING record against the west shows conference strength differences.

He won 1 ring with wade. Allen saved his ass the other one. The other 2 finals there he got clowned. Last year was his best performance and he still shot 40%. If he was smart he woul have went out west. At least he then wouldn't have to get shamed in the finals over and over.

    Haters gonna hate.

Not even a fan but he has went to the finals 6 times in a row. It's easy, teams are weak, blah blah. Then why is he the only one that is doing it? No doubt Jordan is GOAT but individually Lebron dominates his era like Jordan dominated his. No argument that his teams aren't as dominant. How many terrible games has he has in finals? The hate club has been waiting a long time for him to have a bad game (like Curry did last night) to jump all over him. Instead they're reduced to finding fault in going to the finals every year. Or comparing him to the best player ever. Respect greatness , don't be jealous of it. It's not his fault that he is a worldwide icon and you're an anonymous poster on an internet forum.

Miami wouldn't have sniffed the finals without Lebron so what is your point?

    LeBron James Box Score

LeBron James Box Score - NBA Finals Game 1

    [1] FGM = 9 / 21 (43%)

    [2] 3PM = 2 / 4 (50%)

    [3] FTM = 3 / 4 (75%)

[4] Minutes = 41 (most for the Cavaliers)

    [5] Points = 23

    [6] Rebounds = 12

    [7] Assists = 9

    [8] Blocks = 1

    [9] Steals = 2

    [10] Turnovers = 4

Pretty solid stat line to me? One assist away from a triple-double! What more do you guys want from this man? I'm not even a Cleveland Cavaliers fan!

lebron probably has 4 or 5 more years left. if he stays in the east, he'll make it to the finals for that duration. he'll win couple more championships. then, no one will call him a bust.

even now, how can anyone call him a bust?

No one doubts Jordan's ability to win 8 straight titles if he didn't retire. Don't be stupid. This is not the way to attack this argument.

Here's some truth for some of you.

If the officials call a foul on Wade's decapitation of Rondo in the ECF, that takes away one of Lebron's titles.

If the Spurs don't choke a 99.8% chance to win with missed free throws, that takes away the second of Lebron's titles.

Lebron is LUCKY to have 2 titles right now. That is why he is a bust. He could easily have 0.
