I believe you're right. Just doing some quick googling... last year he wore a white hat for the opening round of 3 of the 4 majors, and also Bay Hill, Accenture, TPC, and Quail Hollow. PGA Championship and Buick Open, he wore black.

Well... it's not all true. See my edit. I saw the wrong pic for PGA Championship opening round. The hat he wore was black. I also found where he wore a black hat for the opening round of the Buick in '09.

Still good value on white though.

He could return for the Tavistock Cup where the teams wear matching colors. His Isleworth team has worn red with black trim (hats) the last few years. So... if he's back in time for that, it's going to be black. Otherwise, white is the play.

PR will tell him to wear white to gain public sympathy. BLack is viewed dark mysterious and evil. White is virgin and pure. This can also be seen from the colour 'baby blue' which I assume would be under the Blue category, but i can't picture him in a baby blue hat. i would go with white.
