Being heartbroken and shocked. How do you get better?

I've been through several tragedies and almost died myself. My 2 year old has little family and no grandparents. That breaks my heart. What I do is seek positive experiences to make me happy and when that doesn't work, I use the kettlebell, and put every ounce of anger and energy into it. It benefits my body. My favorite thing to do is watch Pixar movies with my son. He Loves them. Sports was always my thing to watch, but one must live their life. Don't stay stagnant in the house or apartment. Go outside.....soak in life before your time is up. Hope that helps. . Also, alcohol isn't the answer. I'm starting to think a lot like Tom Cruise; prescribed meds aren't the answer. You're the answer and surround yourself with positive people, animals, or a positive environment.

The "supposed to happen" stuff is at best speculation, but what he's right on with is that there was someone better out there. That's the only way to look at it. Unless it was something crazy, utterly your fault (for which you still need to man up to and just admit, then move on) the reality is that when relationships don't work, though it may hurt, there's a reason why.

Ultimately it comes down to this question, especially when you are a man: If this girl doesn't want to be with me, why would I want to be in that relationship?

It really is that simple.

Exactly why waste your life and time and affections on someone who obviously does not deserve it. In this situation she got caught when she thought she would not . She actually tried ODing but i think it was to get sympathy to take her back. Which i never even gave a second of thought of doing. YEARS later she tried o connect with me from classmates.com . I just blew her off.
