So I'm thinking. We have all seen posters come and go. Sometimes they leave of their own free will and other times they are bannished for various reasons and other times no-one knows why?
Now it's kind of a morbid thought but a realistic one all the same that sometimes these posters might simply..........well..............die. I mean death happens right?
If that happens how would any of us ever know? Maybe a few of you are friends offline with some of your online friends and the surviving friend would be able to notify the forum of your demise but what about those loners out there that are affraid of human interactions?
We need to start some sort of Adopt-a-Beneficiary Program. Not a beneficiary that will inherit your personal belongings or anything real world like that but more along the lines of accepting the responcibility of notifying the room in the event that you have passed away.
I mean this has real value in a Karma sort of way. Imagine someone from this forum were to pass away suddenly, car accident, drive-by random McDonalds violence whatever and the next day posters were slamming this guy because of something he had posted earlier or whatever. I mean essentially without knowing it you are speaking ill of the dead. Even if the person in question was a total asswipe you still wouldn't want bad Karma on your side.
I think with all the improvements around here this one should be considered. Everyone should really think long and hard about the person you would trust with delivering the sad news of your departure to your forum mates and make your selection wisely. If you are chosen you should accept this as an honor.
Maybe as an added incentive the poster who does die could have a contract with SBR that his or her points be awarded to the Adopt-a-Beneficiary partner minus all taxes and handling fees of course.
