illini, not really, prefer Jinmy Cliff.
Forgot about Freddy Mercury, Axl did him serious justice in the tribute show from 92. Someone post a clip of Axl doing "We will rock you" from that show.

That's just bad. Somebody needs to tell Axl Rose to stay away from any Queen song. He ruins it.
Re. Front Men....You've got to have Roger Daltrey on the list.

I would say Mick and Morrison. Just watched The Doors again the other day for the billionth time. Val Kilmer killed it playing Jim Morrison!!!

Looking at my list...
I can't believe I left out Alice Cooper.
Will someone explain why exactly this guy is not in the R&R Hall of Fame?
Love it to Death, Killer, Billion $ Babies, Welcome to My Nightmare, DaDa (under the radar but great record). He influenced 2 decades of music including shock rockers from KISS to Marilyn Manson and he's not in the HOF! Some would say he borrowed from Arthur Brown, but 99% of people don't even know who Brown is. Everyone knows Alice. Great stage show, great live band, maybe his conservative political views are keeping him out. If that is the reason, that is just fukking pathetic.

Cougar, I think he is considered more of a clown than a frontman, no one can name the guys behind him, where as guys like Axl, or Jagger, or Plant had giants behind them and they still stood out

Alice Cooper belongs in the hall of fame. It also takes quite a lot of imagination to come up with some of the things Cooper did before anyone else. Remember he was working with Bob Ezrin BEFORE Pink Floyd and developed concept albums right around the same time. His musicians were talents as well. Apparently you need to listen to Billion Dollar Babies again.
Cooper is no clown.
Then there's Axl having Cooper sing in this song off of Use Your Illusion...so I guess Axl is a fan as well

Damn, thanks Cougar, you remind me that I missed Roger Waters. Great solo work too after Pink Floyd, The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking, inspired by the 1993 invasion of Iraq.

What? Pros and Cons came out in 1984, I know because I love that record.
