Can't be sharp if you have a job. Do you have the inside info from Bateman?

I was just joking. I did not take anybody. I don't bet on Spring Training. If I had one play today I would take Reds -140. A little higher than I would want to play, but I think they should win later today.

2 1/3 innings
for all we know he is working soley on a new changeup grip and throwing 70% changes and 30% fastballs. good/great already established pitchers often "suck" in spring training because they are working on weaknesses, and taking their time getting their arms into shape...
the unknown rooks, non roster invites, and 10,11,12th bullpen guys and 6,7,8th guys on the depth chart for starting pitching are usually the dangerous guys because they come into camp already in shape, and throwing everything they got at these guys to get outs and look good to win a spot on the club going north.

Wish I saw this. I never bet spring training but how can you not take the other team blind in spring training?

These pitchers just loosen these arms up in spring and do not push until maybe last start. Betting dogs usually is the best way to go unless you have inside info on a favorite.

8-7 pirates in the 8th....
what a square game for gamblers..... not too much reason to bet games like this...especially if you get bad starting lineup info from "insiders". I am watching because I love watching the young prospects on my favorite team.

nah, scalping opportunities aren't really abound for me with my books, and i'm a rec gambler... it would only amount to about 3 bucks a scalp. I'm not big time like most here..... I certainly could never make a 1.4 million dollar bet at 5 dimes....
