Nick Manning's SBR Streak For the Cash Bracket!
This thread will probably be moved, but I don't know where it goes exactly and so I'll just drop it here to maximize the number of people who see it.

Nick Manning's SBR Streak For the Cash Bracket

    How to Enter the Bracket

    1. Give this post 20 SBR points to cover the entrance fee. Make a post saying you are entering.

Win Head to Head Streaking Contests

    1. Bet anything from Bookmaker.com. Just post your pick, the odds, and your "betting order" (the order of your bets so that you do not have to wait for one game to end before the other one begins).

    2. To allow any choice of bet, streaks will be measured in UNITS. Each pick will be 1 unit.

    End of Game

    1. Whoever records the largest streak in the whole contest becomes the last seed that gets to receive SBR points in the contest. Of the 90% remaining, the prizes will be divided as follows (before SBR imposed tax).

If 1st place finisher has longest streak:

    1. The whole pot.

If 2nd place finisher has longest streak:

    1. 2/3 of pot.
    2. 1/3 of pot

If 3rd place finisher has longest streak:

    1. 3/7 of pot.
    2. 2/7 of pot.
    3. 1/7 of pot.

    etc.

Once you win your matchup, you can continue to build your streak without risk of elimination until every matchup in the round has a winner. At that point, your seed will be determined by the amount of units you ended with in the final round.

    Why your seed matters

    1. The first seed will receive a bye, which means they automatically go to the next round. They still need to build a streak though, because that will determine their seeding in the next round.

    2. The first seed is allowed to start a new streak after a loss in a week where he is building a streak for seeding purposes only.

    3. If there are an odd number of players in a round, the bottom three seeds will do a three-way contest where there is 1 winner and 2 losers.

    Cool Rules

    1. You do not have to wait for the end of one game to bet on the next. Just make all of your bets at once, and rank them in a specific order. We will start with 1, then go to 2,3,4 until we reach a loser or until we know your streak is still going.

    2. A player's seed is changed each round and it is determined by your streak in the previous round. Again, streaks are measured in units.

3.A player's opening seed is determined by the order in which they joined the contest. If I compete I will always be the last seed in the opening round.

4.If any matchup ends in a tie, they are both eliminated. That settles that. I'm sure most ties will be between with streaks of zero anyway.

5.There will be a number of different styles of betting. Some may risk a streak of 0 by betting a big money line underdog. Some may be slow paced and bet a lot of big favorites ML. You can bet anything Bookmaker offers, including futures, props, entertainment, quarters, halves, live betting, you name it.

6.Your opponent cannot copy your bet, but he can go "all in" so to speak by betting the other choice.

    FAQs

    1. Why are you only using Bookmaker.com?

I think -110 odds are more realistic because those are the odds everyone gets unless they play at Pinnacle, Bet Phoenix, or Matchbook. SBR supports bookmaker so I will too.

    2. How big is the pot?

If I choose to participate in the contest (which I will for the first one), then it will be 100% of all SBR points turned in after tax. If I don't choose to participate, then I will take 10% of the pot as commission and 90% of the SBR points turned in after tax will be the pot.

    3. I'm late! Can I still join the contest?

Yes but you will be penalized for allowing yourself to bypass early rounds. For each round that you skip, you must multiply the entry fee by three. You can not join unless there are more than 9 people remaining in the contest.

    4. What bets are allowed?

Absolutely anything offered by bookmaker.com. Quarters, halves, moneylines, live betting, props, entertainment props, futures, you name it.

    5. Did you forget anything?

Probably. Let me know. Offer suggestions, or tell me what I left out.

    Current Bracket

I want at least 17 people to join, but obviously we can have as many as we want. The contest will start SATURDAY AT 11:00 AM EST.

Why not make a contest and have people enter that way?

Because it is a streak contest, and I'm doing something cool with the seedings. I also plan to make up additional awesome rules down the road perhaps.
