    Big East All Conference Teams
Only 1 out of the "top 19" players was from Pitt's team. and I think he was a stretch to be on the 2nd team. I'd put Dyson, Walker, AND Fisher all before Gibbs in the 2nd team backcourt.

a real testament to Jamie Dixon and the Pitt Panther "system" that all the players buy into, that they finished 2nd best in the conference. without any highly touted recruits or "great" players.

it will be a shame if dixon doesn't get coach of the year again

I know Andy Rautins numbers aren't huge but he deserves first team.

I thought CW4, Chris Wright of G'town might have showed up on there. 14.2 pts/game 4 ass't, 2.8 reb., 1.7 steals a big part of an under achieving ( at times ) team.

NEW YORK -- Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim beat out Pitt coach Jamie Dixon for Big East coach of the year honors today. It's the first coach of the year award for Boeheim since 1991.
The Big East also announced player of the year and rookie of the year honors. Wesley Johnson of Syracuse was voted player of the year and Lance Stephenson of Cincinnati was voted rookie of the year.

I guess ya gotta give it to Boeheim, but Dixon is the best coach in the conference ever since he took over.
