WTF. Matsui went to the Angels. Cano didn't go anywhere. Now Damon left if that is who you mean.

Matsui went through absolutely horrendous stretches last year!! If they dropped him I wouldn't lose sleep over it as a Yankees fan... but Cano can light it up times and seems to bring positive energy to the ball club.

how old is MATSUI, He played well in the playoffs didn't he, the Yanks have so much talent that they can let a guy like him go an run like a swiss watch, gbt.

Didn't Matsui have a solid year last year? It wasn't worth it to sign hime, but he had a good year as a dh.

                              28 HRs, .367 OBP.

I'll definitely miss Matsui, but the Yankees wanted to get younger and more flexible. Hideki is solely a DH at this stage in his career because of his knees, which is why the Yanks didn't re-sign him.

matsui i can understand. cano would be a huge mistake

i remember a game against the orioles late year- was in extra innings. me and my boy both had the yanks. he said. c'mon- hit a homerun and end this. cano steps to the plate and blasts one deep for the W

hes offense and defense and i doubt hes a top 5 contract on the team.
