Shutter Island got one star out of 5, in my local paper , I saw the movie, depending what your looking for in a movie it has some highs and some lows, the prison goes through alot of trouble to try to get DiCaprios character to realize that he was the muderer of his wife and children, way to elaborate to help an inmate understand that he was the murderer of his family ,the movie is very interesting ,but has alot of twists and turns- no matter how close you follow the movie you still temporarily get lost with alot of introductions of new characters.. I think it is worth seeing it is sometimes very exciting and that and the cast of notabile actors makes it worth the trip to the movies good luck and enjoy

Boring. Ever see Eyes Wide Shut? Tom Cruise walks around NYC for 45 minutes and does nothing. Leonardo does the same thing in Shutter Island except he walks around an island for 45 minutes and does nothing.

If you like watching someone walk around for 45 minutes you will love Shutter Island.

previews looked good, read ok reviews, Heard bad reviews from friends, then i saw it myself and thought it was pretty decent. good acting.
