i dont know how you say everything away for free...they do the points to generate more traffic, which in turn gets them more money from participating sportsbooks...its just simple marketing not some big generous act for SBR.

I take everything anti-tax that I said before back

I was a very quick and vocal tea partier a few hours ago I admit

and I admit it I voted "No" in pavy's poll

but now I am embarrassed of it

common i am SURE there are some guys on here who voted for obama even though they wont admit it, and are embarrassed

I now have switched over and I FULLY SUPPORT THE TAX

we NEED the tax to KEEP ORDER here, and to promote growth and a healthy and vibrant points system and points economy

Do you know how much the points program has made SBR vs. how much they've spent on it? I don't know either, but I'd be surprised if they've actually made a ton of extra money from it. It is a good marketing tool, and they aren't doing it to be generous, but it's not like it's trippling their profits ......as far as I know.

I'm fairly new, but I took a lot at their Alexa numbers a while back, and it isn't like the traffic skyrocketed after the points were introduced.

Tax is fine and whining about it aint going to get you anywhere in this case and if it does, it will just hurt the points economy in some other area...Making a big deal about stuff is usually a good way to go or else you will get rail-roaded here and other places....

Not that I was ever going to make the short-list for POM, anyone with a brain knows what that 1% was for. Not to mention, that 1% is going to take money away from my St. Judes fund raising contests, loans, etc. I could use an exemption here and know you could make this happen. Since it's inception, the introduction of St Judes Childrens' Foundation, I have been raising money for them here. My goal was to raise $1,000 for them. So far I've reached the $300 mark and rising. When the set of loans get paid in full per their terms, another $300 would have been purchased - with this new tax, once those loans are paid off I'll be lucky if there's enough to get $200 (if even). Perhaps now you can see why I'm against it (the tax on charity raising threads).
