hmm, the thing is that why would the owner answer the email himself? is there a line manager or a cs? makes me wonder how many people are actually have account there.

Tony needs a beat down, Michael Westbrook style

First of all, if the owner is answering routine queries, GET YOURE MONEY OUT OF THERE NOW, because that is a sure sign that they arent making payroll (which would explain the dildos rudeness).

Second, to Tony's point, if the system takes the bet, you have a bet, we all know that.

The guy did seem weasle-ish, but c'mon, to answer him like that...thats not a good way to be one with the universe. Or to keep all of your digits. Unless Tony is a brother of Antonio Alfonseca, he should lighten up, there are some crazy mofo's out there.

If been MF-ing Bodog and NuCharge for two weeks about missing payouts and hidden fees and every response back to me starts with an apology. Good karma, we will straighten it out, and Ill go back to kicking the shit out of them.

agreed. it's pretty safe to say that only losers play at 5dimes, because they boot all the winners. a while back i had been down about 5k, i lit them up for about 13k in a day, then i called back to make my next bet and was told my limit was 500. i asked why the book is called 5dimes if they are goin to give me a 500 limit on a sunday night nationally televised baseball game - didn't get a good response... i took my money out.

if the owner is answering emails..yes that is a problem

At 5 Dimes, winners get delayed (mine was quickly raised to 25 sec on each bet) and collared (I was winning even with the delay, so they set my limit to $50). When I chatted with CS, Tony came on the line. I asked him why the 25 sec delay wasn't enough punishment, and he said "You want 30 seconds, or how about 45?"

And - they also leave bad lines posted for a looooong time. I've seen them posted for as long as 30 min. Makes you wonder if they are just baiting people to take it, only to no action you later.

Definitely a recreactional book as has been mentioned in many SBR threads - and 5 Pennies is what they really should be named.

Funny stuff that is written on the SBR 5D review, i´d say it is horseshit

I agree....5dimes should have also kept their website design the same. They had one of the best designs to place a bet and now they have that same generic look that most other books have.

Yes, it's my first post. Please, keep flames to a minimum -- it's just a question...

I've done a fair amount of research, checking the reviews, and this and other forums. And in that research I’ve learned that it's nearly universally accepted that 5Dimes's customer service (meaning, for the most part, Tony's customer service) is horrible. Yet they are rated A by SBR.

The question: is SBR's rating of 5Dimes worth using? I realize that in general SBR is a highly objective and knowledgeable observer of the industry. What's up with this rating? Is customer service simply only a small part of the rating? Is the rating out of date? Could all the complainers -- far more than regarding any other A rated book -- be out to lunch?

Please note: my question doesn't not relate directly to the OP's complaint, but to 5Dimes's service over all.

@atakdog: Your money is 99.99% safe there, or SBR wouldn´t have them at A. But other than that, i agree that they are heavily overrated.

As Zeroed said, I'm sure your money is safe there, regardless of Tony's ego and occasional spats with players. I suspect he's just one of those guys with a smart mouth and short fuse, which is cool, but seems odd for someone in his position to liberally berate his bettors.

It seems more people are starting to gravitate away from 5Dimes, myself included. I was planning to keep a balance there this year for football season, as I did last year, but they are not currently one of my outs.

Maybe they will be again in the future, and it has nothing to do with Tony's god complex, just don't feel the need to reload there right now.

My money is safe at the Greek sans the smartass condescending bullshit you get at 5 dimes. Nobody needs their dignity stole b/c some prick at a book thinks hes bigger than life. Whatever happened to Total Quality Management? Ive heard way too many dubious stories about Tony for them not to be true. Karma is indeed a bitch.....

For once, I easily side with 5dimes. Books probably can't afford as many csr people as they did before and it doesn't need to be wasted with a nonsense question like that one.

If it was 7pm and they accepted your bet for a game that started an hour before and you lost...maybe you have a small case.
