Because I spilled water on it Monday night. It would type different letters then the ones you were hitting on the keyboard. Maybe if it was fiji water, it wouldn't of damaged it. Found one on ebay for about 23 bucks with free shipping. First time I ever had to replace a laptop keyboard.

Rather straight forward fix. PM me if you run into trouble (there are 1 or 2 screws on the bottom of the laptop dedicated to the keyboard).

Sure it didn't damage the electronic circuitry under the keys? I have no idea, just asking

Thanks for the offer, but I already have the old one out and using it with the guts exposed on my laptop. Using a bluetooth keyboard for the time being.

It probably didn't damage anything. I would have taken it out and let it dry under a heat lamp. You have a board with a cable. It's a one piece deal.

It still doesn't work, I didn't dry it under a heat lamp, but it is dry and not working correctly. The damn FN button seems to be stuck on. So when you type the keys with the blue numbers, that's what it types. Plus other keystroke mistakes. Good thing the water didn't drain down on to the motherboard. Lucky the keyboard is just about a sealed unit. Not a expensive fix, thank goodness.
