As a lifelong Marq fan this team has surprised me greatly. I keep wating for them to fall apart but they don't. Joe Fulce has been playing great lately and Acker has been playing WAY better thenI thought he could. I am cautiosly optimistic about this team but like most people are saying they are going to play with energy for 40 mins no matter what the score.

yes this team is filled with over achievers.....

both Pitt and Marquette have wildly exceeded all the experts' opinions on how they would do, and are great demonstrations of what good coaching, 110% effort, hard work, and team ball can accomplish even among elite nba talent caliber player competition..... Buzz and Jamie should both be coach of the year canidates

My worry about Marquette is they have no depth and eventually they will hit the wall. Especially with all these hard fought overtime games.

yeah, the more I think about it, I think a deep run in the big east tourney with those back to back to back games could be a very bad thing for Marquette heading into the big dance.

with about 7 guys and the top 5 playing 90% of the mins, those legs will get very very heavy. Big east games are always a grind, and those OT's do add up

maybe those OT games earlier in the year, helped condition these guys for the long haul though

this team is only looking better and better.....

but I might fade em tonight. OR If I can get +4.5, I might take that at wagerchief with the free half point buy and take the georgetown moneyline at another book... with a 6 point tease on marquette and Notre Dame at betmania

tell me what you think about Marq after gtown punishes them today

i agree though they are tough and guards rule the tourney and they certainly have that covered...like just about every team this year its all gonna be about matchups

I'll be very suprised if georgetown "punishes" them. georgetown may, win, may cover but I don't see a double digit loss...

Marquette has played a tough schedule and NO ONE has beat them by more than 10

the most was Wisconsin in Wisconsin by, where Bo Ryan wins 90% of his games

if you add up the other 9 losses that Marquette have had they are by a combined 26 points.... alot of 1,2,3 point games

i was being a little dramatic Archie id be shocked if it wasnt a good game...still like gtown though got early at -3 wouldnt feel good about giving any more than that

not your fault brother gtown is steamrolling and Monroe is finally playing like a fukkin man bout time as he has unreal ball skills for a big.....no knock on marq at all as i kinda expected it dont hold it against them they wont see a team playing like that for a while...if anything i gained even more respect for marq as i mean gtown kept punching them in the mouth and they kept responding that is one tough scrappy little team i knew all along i thought i had right side but for 30 minutes i didnt feel comfortable at all

no one wants to see marq in the second round of the tourney....no one wants to see gtown at any point in the tourney

well thats good to know, I didn't get to watch the game. As I was out last night. checked the score in the 2nd half and couldn't believe it.

I still like Marquette as a dangerous team in the tourney, but yeah Georgetown is playing very good apparently

Gtown ran out like 15-4 then marq came back, gtown ran out again marq got within 3 again at half....gtown came out hard in 2nd marq came back for a while i was thinking it was gonna come down to a last shot and killl the cover but eventually gtown size and offense was to much...that offense runs so smooth when they put the ball in Monroe's hands, the guy has finally put it together and watch out this team has turned into a serious threat for a deep run
