    Hollywood Sportsbook
My account had been inactive for a long time and they put a $200 in my account this week which was a nice surprise. I scalped it out which was alos good.

The baseball lines looked good though. It used to be a good book for bases and all around. Does anyone have any recent experience with them with payouts?

Ouch. I'm glad I scalped out so fast.

At one time wasn't Hollywood highly rated?

At one time, Hollywood was very highly rated. They were at least an A, probably A+. I remember they also had a "spin-off" book called LasVegasSportsbook which opened with an A rating.

Then they got sold. I think it was to the Jazette group, or some precursor to the Jazette group. I think Jazette had a different name at first. They were still a decent book for awhile.

I don't know what happened. They just went in the crapper. Maybe one of the SBR guys can dig up the whole story.

I also got a free $200 bonus from Hollywood the other day, but I have scalped it into $500+. So now I've got something to think about. I know a couple other people who also got it. It looks like they're trying to get people interested but if they've got payouts that have been pending for a long time, that's obviously not good.

            Re Mudcat post: Interesting.

I wonder if the powers at SBR have knowledge of when a highly rated book is sold, which of course would make it a new ballgame.

Oh yeah, SBR is all over that stuff. The increasingly childish nature of this forum is deceptive. SBR has always been, and continues to be, right on top of industry news.

Think they were initially sold to SportingBet.

Then the crap hit the fan with this US gaming act garbage & SportingBet then sold all their US facing sportsbooks to Jazette for one dollar Downhill all the way from there

Right, Sportingbet. That slipped my mind.

Did you happen to get that $200 bonus Boots?

No, didn't have an A/C with Hollywood. They were next on my 'to do' list before SB took them over.

After the takeover I didn't bother as I had so many SB accounts at their various clone books that I didn't fancy pushing my luck with another book in that group

Still got $600 stuck in Linemaker that seems impossible to get at

Yeah, LG seems to be stuck in every possible book, dead or alive, with some of his funds.

Recently we learned he had over $400 in Sportbet for which he did not look for over a year.

Oh. Sorry about that Boots. Hope I haven't exposed old emotional scars and opened them up for poking.

I swear I don't know how I get so lucky. I play at a lot of books and never get stiffed and seldom even get restricted.

                          Must be my tremendous charm.

But we'll have to wait and see what happens with this Hollywood situation.

The Sportbet thing was just a genuine error on their part & was sorted very quickly by Bill

Apart from Linemaker (Which im still fairly confident of eventually getting my funds out)
I have not actually ever lost any funds to a US Sportsbook

In fact the only book I ever lost funds with was a UK one 'NetBetSports'

Well, glad to hear that (except the NetBetSports bit).

Since I have sort of hijacked this thread - and I'm in danger of having my HSB balance get up to about $1500 tonight, I'll ask:

Anyone have any more current/recent experiences to talk about?
